Why is Everyone So Marriage-Happy on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Is it just me, or do the 20 and 30-somethings on The Bold and the Beautiful seem more obsessed with getting married than old maids in a Bronte novel? Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) has walked down the aisle with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope Logan (Kim Matula) enough times for even the ghost of Elizabeth Taylor to say give it a rest.

Now after a few chaste smooches and a couple of dry humping sessions on the set of Room 8, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is ready to put a ring on it with Maya (Karla Mosley). Does he even know how she takes her coffee? Does she know if his employer matches his 401K up to five percent? What ever happened to lengthy, against-all-odds courtships on soaps? Watch a sneak peek of today's marriage-happy episode of B&B after the jump!

"Old maids in a Bronte novel"??? -- the correct reference would've been Jane Austen.

Wanting to get married in your late 20s and early 30s is not the abnormal. Heck, it still considered getting married late by some.

It's not so much the age of the characters, I was married at 27, the issue is that the characters barely know each other, and the reason for that is that Brad Bell is a lazy writer. I don't understand why so many people have been praising BB lately, as far as I'm concerned it's still at rock bottom.

I agree that the age isn't an issue. Some even get married at 23 or so. But the fact that every relationship has to end up into a marriage, especially when the limitations these days prevent us from ever seeing a good big wedding like soap weddings used to be, is ludicrous.

Can we bet Brooke won't be rushing down the aisle - even with her high heel shoes?

It eems to be a formula and I agree it should depend on the "story" how its being told...I remember Marcus / Daisy's wedding .. where are they?
Are they still on the show? Seems they've been replaced with these two...the good news they are writing for them. I figured the Rick thing would last a nanosecond.

BB teases interracial romance then backs out e.g. Daisy/Thomas, I was surprised when Justin and Donna actualy married but they didn't write that much for them then next thing I know after being off screen for ages they pop up at a lunch with Brooke to announce their divorce

then I batted an eye and she was plopped on Nick's boat.

I guess to hurry her up away from Rick which they had no intention of doing sort of like Thomas/Daisy...I guess these two have replaced Marcus/Daisy...where are they now? Haven't seen B/B in awhile

B&B was Delectable today. Go Brad and the writing staff, the lighting, acting, music, the sexy sets. Just delectable.

The Forrester's decorating the New Line in that fabulous fashion house.

Brooke and Stallion in the final scene I mean, it was Fiya!!! The music was great.

Rick seeing that ring and the music in the background. Is Rick gonna flip his lid?

There aren't many old maids in Jane Austen novels...I think Elizabeth Gaskell would have been more appropriate.

Soaps are about romance and the culmination of any good romance is a marriage, at which time the story is over. LOL.

I was at my aunt's house today and she hasn't watched B&B since the days of Deacon, Amber, CJ, Rick, etc....but I turned to it today, and she got HOOKED immediately.

She's always loved Brooke and her "ways". And then at the end, she had no idea who Carter OR Maya was, but she said she can't wait for tomorrow. That music at the end was like an '80s or '90s cliffhanger. It made you want to tune it the next day. LOL.

B&B has been the most consistently good soap on the air for me for the past few months. It was HORRIBLE last year this time, and they have turned that ship completely around. And I DO hate to give credit where it's due, especially since my Taylor is gone Sad

B&B was Bold and Beautiful, today. That damn Wyatt. Words cannot express how hot and suave he is. The way he hit on Hope from across that boardroom table.

Rick and Maya on memory lane, beautiful. The Bell's and their cast are doing it.

Eric sitting at the head of the conference table with that suit and tan just Beverly Hills rich. I mean it was so good. The conversation he had with the New Caroline Spencer in their lives. Amazing deliverance on both parts.

Why does Quinn not have an IPAD yet?

The last scene Liam need to stop! That jealous issue he has is a problem.
